Just curiosity, are bbcode and smileys turned off on purpose? And if so is there a benefit to it? Same with avatars..
I ask because I'm currently setting up a site I hope will have heavy traffic and i'm looking at other peoples boards to get some configuration ideas.

The default install for 1.4.0 turns them off. I agree with avatar off by default (kinda) but not smilies... This may change... with abit of luck
