I've had a look at this meta tag install... http://downloads.phpbb-seo.com/phpbb3-s ... gs-44.html

Will this integrate okay with Provista B as all these installs are geared towards prosilver?

you should be able to install it. Just remember to install any overall_header code to all overall_headers. I believe there are 5 in proVistaB.
Meta tags are obsolete as most search engines do not use them anymore, however most seo mods also edit your visible url to make your forum more easily searchable by most search bots. This mod will not cause your site to be indexed, but if your site is indexed, it will be more thoughly indexed. You would need to submit your site to the different search engines to cause it to be searched. If your site is busy, it is probably already being indexed by at least yahoo and google.
These search engines use keywords.
If you have no bot history on your site, you can start this process by going to google and do a search like this
"keyword" and "yoursite url"
For your keyword, choose a descriptive word that appears in several of your forum threads. This is how many site submission services work, though they use a program that does this search over and over

It is already being indexed by the main sites and the googlebot seems to be on the site at regular intervals throughout the day. I guess from what you're saying, it's not really worth doing.

One problem that I do have is the names of the forum areas not being called what they should be in search results...is there a way of renaming at the back end in the same way as the main header for the forum?

Example below...ideally instead of View Forum, i'd like it to have the Forum name.
